ma tutti i le scolta co i òci seràdi
l'è 'n mago che 'l sfodega font a i penséri

e i stìzza, bolìfe e stanzéle 'n de l'aria stebiàda
po' passa, revèrs, en réfol de vènt
se smòrza la bràsa e resta tut scur

chiacchiere...

ricordo cucine appestate di fuliggine | e lunghe catene appese al camino | nel centro d'un buco pitturato di cenere | sfiorano le braci le parole taciute | nascoste sul bordo di furfanti stadere | appese ad un chiodo raddrizzato alla buona | ognuna sposta il contrappeso di un poco | e servono menzogne a raddrizzare quel braccio | ma tutti le ascoltano ad occhi spenti | è un mago quello che rovista in fondo ai pensieri | qualcuno attizza il fuoco, scintille e faville nell'aria scaldata | poi passa, cattivo, un refolo, vento | si spegne la brace, rimane la notte | a ognuno il suo angolo | a ognuno il suo nient

remembering kitchens grimy with soot
when long chains hung over fireplaces
inside a hole that was painted with ashes
embers caress the unspoken words
hidden beside cheating beam scales
hanging from nails hammered straight
each moving slightly the counterweight
and lies are needed to unbend the beam
yet everyone listens with eyes tightly shut
magician is he who delves into thoughts
the fire rekindled sparkles with sparks
in the air overheated until nasty a gust
of wind that puts out the embers
leaving all in the darkness
each to his corner
each to his nothing
